The silver screen Diva Sridevi has once again hogged the headlines
of the newspapers but for different reasons. The last time she was seen in her glamorous avatar in the Lakme India Fashion Week. The actor has been accused in an incident of check bounce. Some of the checks issued by the actor and her producer husband Boney Kapoor to movie producer Madhu Gupta have bounced.
After the proceeding of the case has been stalled by Mumbai High Court, the accuser has moved his petition to the Supreme Court. In his allegation the producer has alleged that three checks issued by the actor and her spouse have bounced. He also said that the actor’s family is engaged in the trade of raw film delivery to the producers of films. The enraged film producer had originally filed three notices in 2007. But the actor has managed to get a stay on the case proceedings.
The incident has raised some eye brows in the film industry. Sridevi has expressed her opinion that the checks were not genuine.
