Ranbir Kapoor is ready to play Rajiv Gandhi in ‘Rajniti’

He may be just one movie old, but Ranbir has some of the best projects in Bollywood under his belt, and Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajniti’ is one of the highlights.

After keeping low about his project for months, Prakash Jha finally admitted that he had his mind set on Ranbir. The director, who is known for making hard-hitting cinema shared, “I would have probably dropped ‘Rajniti’ if Ranbir hadn’t agreed; I could see he was guarded when we met, but the reserve dissolved once he heard the script.”

Jha is currently, hunting for an International actress to play the role of Sonia Gandhi; the director says that his movie plot is about Rajiv Gandhi and shades of ‘Mahabharata’.

Ranbir is excited about the project and the next time you see him in a Nehru collar and glasses just remember that the youngster is on his way to become a politician.
