Though STRANGERS was a commercial failure, it got recognition for its leading man Jimmy Sheirgill and director Anand Rai. In an intense role which had shades of gray, it was quite a complex characterization for Jimmy. After coming out with flying colours in STRANGERS, which is now doing well on the DVD circuits, Jimmy has let his hair down for HASTEY HASTEY. A romantic comedy shot on a lavish scale primarily in the USA, HASTEY HASTEY also marks the debuts of newcomer Nisha Rawal (most famous for her 'Chanda Ki Doli' music video with Sonu Nigam).

Says Jimmy, "We had fun while shooting for HASTEY HASTEY last year. The film lives true to its title as it carry numerous funny moments which keep it going. Going by the current trend of comedy being in the vogue, I am quite sure of HASTEY HASTEY tickling the funny bone of the audience."

Nisha adds, "For every actor, his or her first film always holds a special place in the heart. I am very happy with how HASTEY HASTEY has turned out to be since the makers have left no stones unturned to make it a lavish affair."

Also starring Rajpal Yadav in a hilarious appearance, HASTEY HASTEY is produced by Ashutosh Bajpay and Shiv Ram Kumar. Directed by Ramanjit Juneja who was the co-director of Riteish Deshmukh starrer OUT OF CONTROL, the film's story is written by Rohit Batra, a NRI based out of US and a known name in US and UK as a music video director.
