Priyanka makes a-blink-and-you-miss appearance at Dior bash
Just in case you have seen Priyanka Chopra in the Nokia 6700 ad, where pictures showing her partying hard get circulated among friends, you'd have wondered why she put in a blink- and- you- miss- it appearance at the Christian Dior bash on Wednesday night at the chic Blue Bar at Taj Palace.
Genesis Luxury MD Sanjay Kapoor left the party much before the action started, but he loved the collaborative effort of Dior and Taj Palace. "The Blue Bar is a stylish place and Dior is a chic brand, so the outcome is a gathering of fashionable people," he said. But Kapoor couldn't help adding he loves to flaunt the labels - Paul Smith and Bottega Veneta - that he markets in the country. It's hard to catch him in any other label.
Designer Rohit Bal also stuck to his favourite label - he came in his Men's Fashion Week peacock jacket, which he said he'd picked up in a hurry. "I didn't know what to wear to the Blue Bar as it is super chic, so I decided to pick up whatever caught my fancy," he said.
There weren't many Dior gowns shimmering around, but there were plenty of Pretty People - from designers Ritu Beri, Suneet Varma and Rajesh Pratap, to Dabur scion Amit Burman, Amici restaurant's Pia Pauro and Mumbai's peripatetic socialite Queenie Dhody. Priyanka kept them all waiting - and asking for more.
