The two love birds can’t seem to get enough of each other, so much so that even snow and storm cannot keep them apart. With Kareena to be in Ladakh for the shoot of Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘3 Idiots’ with ‘Aamir Khan’, Saif Ali Khan had plaaned to surprise his lady love, but then due to bad weather all flights to Leh were canceled. Not the one to throw his hand up, Chhote Nawab flew to Srinagar, hoping to hit the road from thereon. One the other end, with the shoot cancelled, Bebo, too, traveled by road to meet Saif somewhere midway.
Finally, the lovers met at a lodge in Kargil, where Saif managed to make the birthday memorable for Bebo with a small party in the evening and an adorable cake.
Well, the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor may have turned an year older with her birthday, but love seems to make her younger and more charming with each passing day. One Night in Paris with KAREENA KAPOOR

The oh-so-gorgeous Kareena Kapoor may have turned a year older yesterday (Sept 21) but one look at some of her recent pics, and you will agree that the actress is probably looking her best these days. Kareena, who is the brand ambassador for Globus chain of stores, recently shot for their Winter 08 collection at one of the most romantic cities in the world - Paris.

First Time Music Launch as a Televised Event

In the history of Bollywood industry, it was for the first time music launch of a movie gets recorded as a television event at the launch of EMI. The event held on September 18th at the Intercontinental Grand in the suburbs of Mumbai. Hollywood knows only Aishwarya not Bachans - Bipasha

Bollywood`s dusky beauty Bipasha Basu has carved a niche for herself in Hindi cinema and says she has no intentions of going to Hollywood because filmmakers there are familiar with only one Indian actor - Aishwarya Rai.

“No filmmakers of Hollywood are willing to sign any Bollywood actor without a screen test apart from Aishwarya. They seem to know no Hindi film actors, not even Amitabh Bachchan,” Bipasha told reporters.

“I got a chance to go there, but I found out that I will have start again from scratch like screen tests and other tantrums. They treat you like a newcomer. So I decided to stay in Mumbai and be the `queen` here,” said the actress who was in town to promote “Bachna Ae Haseeno”.

Talking about the film with newcomer Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha said she signed on because she hadn`t done a romantic movie for quite some time.

“I haven`t done an out-an-out romantic film for a long time so when I heard the script of this film, I found it a little fresh.

“I play Radhika, who comes all the way from Ranchi to Mumbai to become an actor. But she ends up being a member of (choreographer) Shiamak Davar`s dance troupe.”

Bipasha doesn`t seem to mind sharing screen space with two other actresses - Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone in the film.

“I am okay with even a 10-minute role provided I get an apt character and my share of attention on screen. Anyway, if you are a Bollywood heroine, you have very limited choice. I was intelligent enough to realise it long back and hence am picking up roles that look good on-screen,” she said.

Basu is currently dating actor John Abraham, They have been dating since late 2002. She previously dated fellow Bollywood actors Milind Soman and Dino Morea.

Even though Basu is a practicing Hindu and Abraham is a Christian, both families have accepted the couple. Basu has stated in an interview that though she was raised a Hindu, she believes that all religious groups deserve respect.

Bipasha basu Kashmir ki kali in Lamha Movie

Bipasha Basu, the sultry beauty of Bollywood is the surprising choice of Rahul Dholakia for his upcoming venture ‘Lamha’. Bipasha is not the light-eyed, fair skinned Sindhi beauty that goes for the ‘Kashmiri girl’ stereotype. But the determined actress has decided to look convincing.

“I want to disprove that myth. The preconceived notions have to be overcome,” she said, talking of the typical Kashmiri girl image.

And the dusky babe is taking her role very seriously. She has demanded for a native Kashmiri girl to be brought to her in Mumbai, so that she can study her. Bipasha claims that she would need to observe the true native body language, mannerism and accent. Bipasha is to learn the Kashmiri language for the role, too.

All the preparations are being made in Mumbai as Kashmir is not deemed safe by the actress to do her homework; same goes for the reason behind a Kashmiri girl being brought all the way from the valley to Mumbai.

“I want my character to be very basic - exactly like the girls are in Kashmir today. I’ve done realistic roles in Prakash Jha`s ‘Apaharan’ as well as Madhur Bhandarkar`s ‘Corporate’. But, ‘Lamha’ is something else.” Bipasha averred about her character in the flick that takes a hard-hitting look at the strife-stricken valley.

The role has added up on the interest-quotient by the involvement of Bips. Not to say of the oomph-quotient, that is bound to be there. Kashmir will soon be a hot and happening place to be when the shooting starts in October!

Esha Deol- won’t Mind Live in Relation

“I believe in a love marriage and am looking for a guy who would have some qualities of my father, ” said Esha, who will be seen next with Shiney Ahuja in “Hijack”.

“I think every girl wants her life partner to have some qualities of her father and I also want the same. My father has been the closest man in my life till now and I’m familiar with his qualities and therefore want my man to be like him, ” Esha told in an interview.

Although her parents are looking for a suitable match for her, the 25-year-old actress is not game for an arranged marriage.

“My mom is a modern kind of person and would not mind if I even go for a live-in relationship with someone. I think I would like to live with him for at least two years and then think of getting married.

“It’s always better to know a person well before marriage than getting divorced later, ” she quipped.

According to Esha, she and her mother share many interests.

“Both of us like dancing and acting; therefore we share a lot of common things among us. Besides, she has been a constant support in my life.”

She said Hema is now trying to revive her banner H.M. Creations, which made Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Dil Aashna Hai” in 1992.

“My mom is very keen to revive her banner. She thinks this is the best time to start a project as the market has really grown during the past couple of years. Also, we believe in the saying ‘make hay when the sun shines’.”

Though they have decided to make a film, the script has not yet been finalised.

“We are going through various scripts, but nothing has been finalised yet.”

Esha debuted with “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe” in 2002 and in the last six years featured in several films, but success has eluded her so far. She was a part of successful films like “Dhoom”, “Yuva” and “No Entry”, but all of them were multi-starrers.

After doing glamorous roles in run-of-the-mill films, Esha now wants to do some meaningful cinema.

“Though I am happy with my sexy image, I want to do meaningful cinema. There is nothing wrong being sexy as most of the actresses feel proud if they are termed as ’sexy and hot’; so do I.

“But at the same time I want to do some films that also show my acting talent, ” she said.

She is positive about “Hijack” and says it has tapped her acting potential in the right way.

“The role that I am playing in ‘Hijack’ is what I have never tried before. For the first time I will not be romancing my hero, neither will I be seen running around trees, not even in a dream sequence, ” said Esha who plays an air hostess in the movie.

“My character is experienced and believes in herself and helps the protagonist, played by Shiney Ahuja, with all her experience in rescuing the passengers.”

She rubbished reports that she didn’t get along with Shiney on the sets of “Hijack”.

“It is not true at all. Shiney and I get along well and I think the media reports of my strained relations with him were just a publicity gimmick. I’m looking forward to do another film with him.”

Asked about working with debutant director Kunal Shivdasani, Esha said: “Kunal is an experienced ad filmmaker and he has applied his experience in making the film. He has shot the film aesthetically and also in a realistic way.”

Soha Ali Khan next in Comedy Movie

“Kunal is playing a young and clever man who wants to hit that century in life and the conflict that he faces to score hundred makes the story. Everyone can identify with him,” Aditya Shastri of People Pictures told reporters.

“Soha plays a Delhi girl. Each one (Soha and Kunal) has a pre-conceived notion about the other, which makes the story interesting,” he added.

Commenting on the title of the film, Shastri said: “The film is titled `99` because it is set in the year 1999. Secondly, it also deals with the magical “one” number that turns 99 into hundred.”

The film also stars Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani, Cyrus Broacha, Mahesh Manjrekar and Simone Singh .

“Everyone agreed to do the film after hearing the story. The script is the forte of the film. Every character has a definite role in the film. For instance, Vinod Khanna has a very interesting part, but I would not like to disclose it now.”

Shastri is co-producing the movie with Anupam Mittal. Being made at budget of Rs 100 million, “99″ will be directed by two America-based Indian directors - Raj Nidimuro and Krishna DK who have earlier directed movies like “Shor” and “Flavors”.

“The shooting for the film has started and we plan to wrap it up by Oct 8. I think it will be ready for release by January 2009,” said Shastri.

Shastri`s company is also working on a few other films which includes “Click”, “Marry” and “Charles and I”.

It looks like Lara is quite the water baby! as for the film, she swam with sharks and rode on a dolphin’s back and even though this might make you think she’s playing the role of a mermaid, that isn’t the case.

Deepika Padukone gets a Ranbir Tatoo on her neck

It seems like love in Bollywood can be expressed only by embedding tattoo on one’s body. First it was the hunks of Bollywood doing it, now it’s the ladies turn. After Saif doing it for bebo and Usman for Amrita Arora, it was Deepika Padukone’s turn to do the needful (and painful too) in the name of her beau Ranbir Kapoor.

We recently noticed a tattoo embedded on Deepika Padukone’s nape. The tattoo says R K (but obviously Ranbir Kapoor). Since it is hidden behind her hair, not many have caught sight of it yet.

We just hope Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t have a “D.P” embedded somewhere or the other.

Prachi Desai to do her next with the Bhatts

She was at the epitome of her career on the small screen as the hot favourite bahu ‘Bani’ in ‘Kasam Se’ when she said adieu to the smaller screen and took a jump to the bigger screen. And it was not a wrong decision for Prachi Desai after all. Her performance in ‘Rock On’ has received rave reviews and Prachi has already signed her next with Vishesh Films for their next project titled ‘Jashn’, where she is paired opposite Adhyayan Suman.

Chirpy as ever, Prachi confirmed this news saying, “Yes, I am doing Jashn with the Bhatts. I have Adhyayan as my co-star. The film is directed by Raksha and Hasain (who earlier directed The Train).I was signed for this film before Rock On released. I can’t disclose much at this point of time about the film or my role. All I can say is that I am excited to do the film.”
